I bought the sohal around 1 month ago. He was doing just fine and eating well. To this day he is eating well. Nori is always in the tank as well as feeding 6-7 cubes of food daily. All other fish are healthy and fat. The sohal is deteriorating away. between his eyes to his mouth is sunken in, his belly is sunken. He looks like a fish that has not eaten in a month. Also has pea sized brownish spots that randomly appear on his body. These spots randomly appear and disappear. Will try to upload photo asap! can anyone help???

i got one from a LFS for free that was displaying these same symptoms. he was also lathargic and basically just laying in the corner. i still don't know what the issue was, but i treated for a week with quickcure(formaline and malachite green) and he was back to full health and is still doing great.
after the treatment the brown spots became white, like a scar and eventually cleared up. fungus or bacterial? not sure only fish i have seen it on.

+1 on the tuberculosis. Though I've only seen it firsthand in freshwater fish. Would see brown sores on the fish and they'd just waste away even though I was feeding twice a day. It is contagious, so hopefully that's not it.

tuberculosis, geez i hope its not that. I wish i could get some pics but cant find the adapter i need to upload. i was thinking an internal parasite possible. seems like there is a compound out there named M-diazole or something close to that. has anyone used this before?
