Not sure if it's the problem or just ammonia poisoning/burn. Green chromis, Bartletts and Dispars seem most susceptible.

Can someone give me a quick lesson on how to take a scraping to look at it under a scope? With I be seeing a single organism or a colony? I'd really like to know what I'm up against.

Past treatments seem to work but then the next time it doesn't. The symptoms are red elongated blotches and with chromis there is a lot of scale loss evident in the bare bottom tanks.

Well I found the ac adapter and had time to take a look see. Couple of heniocus had developing wounds so I scraped a sample and took a look see. Can't really confirm it's uronema but it's certainly a ciliated protozoan. :lol:
Tried a dose of Forma-Green and after a 1 hour bath there were none left moving on a reinspection. There were literally hundreds on the first slide. Neither fish survived the bath so I'm guessing I need to refine the dosage.
