I just bought an apex and this is new to me. I am looking to get a connection between the sump room and the tank. I already have cat5 in the walls and was looking to use something like this:

No. The key why is that the description says self-powered, meaning by the bus. USB is 5 volts, AquaBus is 12. They will probably fry as soon as you connect them.
