I have the opportunity to get a used 3130, but i was previuosly considering the reefpak 200. It would be used for a sumpless 42 hex tank that's about 24 inches tall. inhabitants would be a small school of chromis, one additional undetermined fish, mostly LPS, zoos and shrooms, and a few monti cap colonies.
I understand the water level and low turbulence is importrant for performance on both skimers. I use 2 aquaclear 50s (270 gph each). Would water evap be an issue?
What do you suggest? Thanks
EDIT - I have an open top canopy, so vertical clearance is not an issue.
and also do the magnet holders work for the older skimmer?
