used my freshwater filter for my nano. Is it ok

I used my AC30 from my freshwater tank. I washed it out really good. And I used it to filter out my SW nano. I just put the sand into my tank tonight. It was really cloudy. I figure I would let it run for a day or so. Just to get the cloudiness out of the water. Will this do anything to the saltwater. I have no LR in it. Just SW and sand

shouldn't be a problem. i used to use ac70 and ac30 on my 10g. what's the size of your tank?

10 gallon. I just added the sand. The water is very cloudy and milky looking. Im running it with the spong and the carbon only. Its the AC 30 filter

I ended up modifying the ac70 so i can make it into a hang-on fuge. the ac30 might be enough for the initial cycling process, but as you progress further with more livestock, you might need to upgrade. some people even go upto ac110.

On my 20H nano, I have a AC30 and a XP3.

Never had a detectable cycle.

Vsny2k5...awesome link. I've been thinking about using my AC30 for a 'fuge myself...my only issue is that i won't be able to get direct light to it. :/
