Skimmer Guy
Just wanted to say that I got my new skimmer pump from salty critter yesterday. This will be for my 3rd skimmer I have built. This will be for my tank. 57g rimless. The plan is to mount the pump internal of a 6.5 in cell cast body.
First impression is that it looks kind of like a sicce psk 2500. The volute is NON direction. very nice indeed. I did notice the volute cover comes off easily unlike the sicce that is very hard to get off. And the magnet is super strong. almost couldnt pull out the impellar for a closer look. I am excited to get this up and running. Parts are coming in. Hopefully i will be able to give a little review of the pump when I get done. Its hard to find info on these. I think they will be a great little pump.

The impeller magnet is neodymium, by having a very strong permanent magnet, the electromagnet can use much less power and give similar results, the basis of this pump was to further refine the Sicce pump we were using originally, we worked with Sicce to develop it as many of the ideas were from there pump, but we own the molding and it is our own pump.

This pump is fab!
It is dead silent and puts out a lot of air...I think for the 11w/600lph air draw this pump is probably as good as it gets...
IMO I wouldnt use it on anything smaller than a 6" diameter skimmer body.
