Using A Vortech Battery Back-Up On Tunze's

I have a Vortech Battery Back-Up system, and was curious as to if I could use this with my (2) 6105's.

If so, what else do I need to properly run the 6105's on battery back-up?

Thanks,

Paul

not sure you can... I have the 40 on with battery back up and I must say that im not overly impressed with it.. pump is great but when it runs off the regular 24 volt but when it switches to the battery their claim is that is runs at 50%, to me it looks more like 30%..

Paul,

I cannot say for sure, I had another customer try it and he was having some technical problems. I am waiting to hear back from him. What we offer is the 6105.500 safety connector which is the auto switching unit that switches to battery power after a power failure, you just provide a battery and charger.

On 12V our pumps do about 2000gph vs 3450 at 18V. But it may feel like a lot less because the output is fairly diffuse, more so on the Vortech, but I would bet that in real gph, the flow is about 50% but the pressure is so much lower that you don't feel it.

Thank You,
I'll wait awhile to see if you get any feedback from your customer before I rule out the Vortech back-up option.

Please keep me posted if you hear anything.
