Using an RODI system outside

I purchased an RODI system recently and found out that the adapter fits none of the faucets in my house. I do have a hose outside I was able to hook it up to. I've been making water with a 5 gal bucket outside with the cover resting on top.

Is this something thats okay to do? I'm worried about something contaminating the water but don't know if it's a legitimate concern

I am doing same, or will be doing same when it is time to fill the tank and so on. I did do this few months ago after I bleached rocks and dried them. I filled bucket with RODI water ran from the hose. I live in townhouse complex and our city water is really good (13 TDS out the tap) so I dont think there is any difference where water is flowing from into RODI.

Awesome, thanks!

All your water is coming from the same source. Your RODI unit doesn't care which spigot it comes from!:lolspin:

Lots of people keep theirs outside - usually in a shed or something. Just keep the barrel covered and you can store as much as you have room for. As an added bonus, when you forget to turn it off (as we all have done) it won't flood your house!
