Using ATS as Primary Filtration

Does anyone have experience using a turf scrubber as their primary filtration in a SH tank?

Its my filtration of choice on my reef tank and predator tank and I was wondering if I could use it on my planned 33 Hex SH (h. erectus) tank?

Any problems with keeping macro in the tank for hitching?

Advice or anecdotes appreciated!

no experience with scrubbers though i imagine it would be fine. macros are definitely great to keep in the tank . makes for good hitching posts

IMO opinion you still need to have good mechanical filtration in the form of a protein skimmer and some type of filter pads. ATS won't do anything for dissolved and non dissolved solids in the water column.
