Hi guys,

Im going to be using an aquaillumination 12" fixture on a frag tank. The frags that I will be getting will be coming from 400 watt metal halide bulbs. I understand these led fixture can deliver some major par, so I have some concern about bleaching out these corals from too much light. What should I set the intensity at with the fixture? I know I can set it from 0-100%. At the same time, I want to make I sure I have enough light.

Your frags will do just fine with "not enough light" for a short period of time. I would start VERY low and raise it by 1-2 percent every couple of days.

Someone who actually runs these fixtures can give you something more specific, though.

I just changed 3x400 for ai units and u should be just fine. I would investigate the kelvins that where used for the frags and adjust the led units accordingly.

50%white 100% blue should be just fine
