using remora pro in sump?

I know this can be done by extending the tubing for the pump so it is below the water line, but has anyone done it? If so, how much does the water splash back into the sump? Has anyone done anything to alleviate the return water splashing?

I did it for about a year long ago. I used a mag 3 to run it and placed a piece of foam under it to silence the waterfall. Just rinse it once per week or so and your good to go.

u could always cut a little square in the last chamber, and it would outlet around waterlevel.

I just extended the lip with a piece of acrylic

jimmyd01, that's what I had in mind. How did you secure it to the lip, or did you just place it there?

just tacked it on with a little Weld-On 16, acrylic glued to the bottom of the original lip so the water flows over the original and onto the new piece which is just above the water line.
