using timer with Odassea MH ballast??

this ballast needs a second to warm up when turned on. if a timer turns it off i dont think it can turn it back on... are most ballasts like this?

Yes all work the same way..You can always get a cheap single bulb t5 fixture if you need to View the tank at night or when the timers are off..

What I mean is will a regular timer work with mh ballast or is there something special I need to do expect for leaving the switch to the on position? ...Thanks again Todd for the frags! They look great!!
