Usual Suspects

Saturday I noticed an sps frag had been nibbled on and the mother colony had poor pe. Sunday the frag was a skeleton and the colony still was closed up. Today I was checking out the colony and noticed a branch had been chewed.
The last 2 fish to go in the tank a few months ago were an Achilles tang and a copperband butterfly. I don't suspect any of my other fish, only a Purple tang but he's been around way too long.
Not sure wether to try feeding them more than once a day or bite the bullet and take them both out. Not going to tear the tank apart twice to figure out who's guilty.
Could be a long day.

IF.. and I mean IF, I had to pick from the fish, I would say it's the butterfly..
Me too. I've had my Achilles in an sps dom. tank for about a year. No problems.:smokin:

Nothing new besides the fish. Only one sps, a rather hairy stag, has been bothered. When I found the spot on the colony, the copperband was there, not conclusive, but rather than lose more than a frag, I'm getting the 2 fish out.
I've caught the tang, the butterfly is being a problem, he's hiding now. I really don't want to tear the tank apart any more than I have to.
Will give him some time to chill then get him out too.

Whatcha gonna do with them, esp Achilles there? God, I'm an idiot. But well, I love those things.

Well, the Achilles, which I caught in less than 5 minutes is dead, too much stress, go figure.
The copperband, who was the prime suspect is fine of course, took me about 2 and a half hours to get him, tore my tank apart, not happy with the way it's back together. Did I mention I'm starting to hate fish.

Don't get me wrong, started my first saltwater tank in 83. I'm a fish guy that's hooked on reefin and now da fishes have turned on me..........................

I almost forgot, I found this guy while catching the fish. Rock boaring urchin, had to cut him out of the rock. Going to put him in my 20 with the 2 urchins I found there.
