UV Filter on Seahorse tank

I am in the process of setting up our first seahorse tank.

I intend to run a refugium and intended to run a uv filter but have seen no information on threads about running one. I felt that specifically with the disease issues with seahorses that this would be a good addition.

Anyone out there running one on there systems currently or know of any real pro\s, or specifically cons to running one?

I run one. I have run one on several seahorse tanks. I like to run at the parasite kill rate and use a prefilter to maximize benefit.

Pro's they kill bacteria, parasites, and clear the water when used correctly.

Con's they kill micro fauna, and can lead to UV resistant bacteria when used improperly. They also add some degree of heat.

I think the pro's out weigh the cons for me.
