This is one of the best investments I bought for my big tank. It knocked the itch right off my fish and anytime red slime started I would turn this on for a couple days and it would disappear. The bulb is 9 months old but still works great. If you want to get rid of algae the easy way and make your water crystal clear this will do it. I have read about everone saying you dont need this in a reef tank. I bet 90% of them never used one.
