Vacation and Specific Gravity

I am going away for 7 days next month to the Bahamas. I still have a 46 gallon bow. I was going to have my neighbor put water in every other day. I was going to add my reef code A & B to the gallons of water. I usually add kalk but I feel safer with just the ALk and Cal in each bottle of RODI water. Will I be ok with this? I usually add water in the morning and night every day.

You can add one part or the other, but not both in the same container. IE, you can dose alk in one bottle, and ca in the other. If you mix them you will likely get a precipitate in the bottle and the mix will loose it's effectiveness.

I would think since I add both in my tank within a few minutes apart and everything their is ok. IS it because of the amount of water?

I can put alk in one gallon and cal in the other and have my neighbor put them in a few minutes apart.

There you go. Mixing them in a one gallon container together will not work.
