valonia question

i'm in the process of starting my reef over. i've been selling out all corals and rock. anyway - during the years it's been up, i've had valonia and it's always come and gone. it just so happens that right now i have some.

my issues are these - i want to keep as much water in the tank as possible during my switch and will be adding all new cured live rock. i'll let it settle down for about a week then add my fishies back in. i also have a deep sand bed.

can i keep the water and the dsb, or should i just change it all out and start over with the new cured rock? will valonia spores remain in the water column and can they infest my sand?

Any rock, sand and water could easily contain valonia spores. For that matter, so could the new cured live rock, so I wouldn't stress out too much about it
