Vaping

I would use the nicotine free vg. This would be pretty cheap to start and maintain. :). Will be placing a order in the next few days. Thank you so much for your help so far I'm sure I will have more question as I get the order in.

Isn't PG a form of anti freeze or am I thinking of something else.

If you're ever in a pinch and need juice right away, Cignot in Elmhurst is where I bought my first e-cig. Dennis is a pretty good guy. If you don't want to order online, or just want to try a few flavors, etc - good place to check out.

Nope, it's a common myth that those against the use of PV's spread to discourage their use. One of the harmful components in antifreeze is ethylene glycol.

Propylene glycol is a component of antifreeze. And toothpaste, hospital humidifiers, various pharmaceuticals, and many, many other things considered safe for ingestion.

Guru.... Man you are full of helpful knowledge :). I'm still going through DIY flavors and putting together a list. I can't seem to find the vg without nicotine. I'm also searching on my phone and could be passing it up.

Vegetable Glycerin

You can also buy VG from Michael's (craft store), in the cake decorating section, as well as walmart's pharmacy. Just make sure it's USP grade.

FWIW, although the flavourart flavorings are more expensive, they are more concentrated. They were my favorite flavorings, followed by TFA (The flavor apprentice). I'm not sure who flavor shack stocks as I've never ordered from them, but I know they are a popular site for DIY supplies.

The site below offers sample size (4 mL) concentrated flavors for under $2 each. I think their 0 nic PG and VG might be cheaper than flavor shack as well.

AND I cannot believe I haven't mentioned it yet, but ECF is the reefcentral of the vaping community.

This is getting better I can get some stuff local and not have to wait:). I'm on another obsession :). I can't thank you enough :). Is the flavor really noticeable on your favorite vs the michaels one?

michael's VG (sold under the brand name wilton) isn't flavoring, it's just VG which doesn't really have much of a taste. Flavoring is a separate component. To make juice, you dilute high nicotine base (either PG or VG base) down to your desired strength (with either PG or VG, or both), then add flavoring.

As a general rule, higher concentrations of VG = more vapor, less flavor, less throat hit while higher concentrations of PG = less vapor, more flavor, more throat hit

A typical 10 mL bottle of juice at 18 mg nic might look like this:
3.0 mL 60 mg Nicotine PG base
4.0 mL 0 nicotine PG
2.0 mL VG
1.0 mL flavoring

It all depends on your ingredients. If you start with 36 mg/mL nicotine base, you'll need to use more to accomplish 18 mg final strength. 100 mg/mL will need significantly less. The nicotine is the most expensive part. I was purchasing bottles of 100 mg/mL, then diluting down to 36 mg to vape. As mentioned before, do NOT get any on your skin, it can be deadly at this strength.

the link I posted to ECF should keep you busy for a while. You can find just about everything you've ever wanted to know about vaping from that community.

Tj... Thanks for the heads up. Are you still vaping? V4L is in northbrook and only 15 min away. Have you been there?

Still vaping - never been to V4L, I'll have to check it out :)

I never went the cartomizer route - I picked up an Ego-C twist (tank + atomizer) and never looked back. The atomizers in the ego-c are easy to clean. I use them for around 2-3 months before I get lazy on the cleanings (usually clean once a week) and they die. But they're only $5.

Couple that with the juice I buy from cignot ($12 bottle lasts me just shy of a month) and my bad habits cost me next to nothing.

Honestly - I was probably smoking a pack a day, spending $300+/month on cigs, then one day picked up vaping instead. Now I spend $12-15/month and couldn't be happier. Personal favorite flavors (From the "Basic" brand that cignot carries) are On Top (kind of a cherry/cotton candy mix - really good), Toffee, and Pomegranate.

I may have been using the wrong terms... I have a 6ml tank and the atomizer as well. The savings are amazing. I have been switching between a mango/pear and watermelon. Like the fruity flavor and taste. I'm waiting for them to restock on the peach flavor.

Give v4l a visit... You can try out the different popular flavors first. Let me know... Maybe we can meet up for vaping and reefing.

Congrats on the quitting!

I made the switch to volcano over a year ago and haven't looked back!

My problem is that I enjoy smoking so I don't think I'll be quitting vaping any time soon!

I know I'm hooked on vaping too. Looking for the next model with longer battery. Yup... I'm hooked as well. Lol

Provari here.

My wife makes lots of flavors. I like RY4 and peach the best. Just don't get caught smoking a bananna! Rofl

HAHAHAHa.... :0 I'm staying away from banana flavor now.... Giving it a whole now meaning. Lol

I ended getting the OMG all day, the dial a volt just didn't last long enough for me. I like the peach tobacco and waiting for them to stock it again.
