VDM issues

Noticed this morning 1 of my 6 AI's was not turning on with the others, the one with the problem is the first unit in the chain. I turned off power to the unit and now it comes on full power with no lighting on the second unit of the chain but the cooling fan kicks on in the second unit. All other units in the chain function as programmed.
I plugged in the AI controller and everything works like it should.
Is there a way to reset the VDM?

Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.

I constantly have to do that to reset my Apex, because it keeps freezing.
I have yet to find time to turn it in for service.

Tried that...nothing. Already got an RMA# from Curt. He doesn't think it's the module but is going to test it anyway, we'll see. Glad I have both controllers!(Thanks Ken!!!)
