Venturi pump in sump to help pH?

Having low pH problems, and I'm looking for a non-additive solution. I know, I know, don't chase numbers, but at night the pH drops as low as 7.55 and that's with a newly-calibrated probe. I've already added a CO2 scrubber to the skimmer intake, as well as plumbing it to the outside for fresh air.

When the skimmer is off tank pH goes down, because the Venturi action increases aeration in the sump. Has anyone added an additional Venturi powerhead to the sump for even more aeration and seen a pH increase? Might be a cheap way to help...

What's your alkalinity at?

Unless you have very strange conditions in a tank, pH is basically the ratio of dissolved CO2 versus alkalinity. It's not a super important parameter on its own, and it's hard to suggest a course of action without knowing what your alkalinity level is, and whether or not you have anything in the tank (corals) that need alkalinity.

I would imagine any other aeration method you added to the skimmer would have miniscule results. I've never seen anything come even close to the aeration created by a skimmer.

If you did find something that created that level of aeration you'd get salt spray EVERYWHERE unless you found a way to contain the bubbles.

Alk is generally around 8.0; I use a Dastaco reactor. Heavy SPS tank. I usually wouldn't worry about pH, but 7.55 seems reeeaally acidic, and I've had periodic colony losses, always overnight.

For completeness, CA is 430, Mg is 1300, temp is a stable 78.0-78.5, salinity is a stable 1.026. Plenty of flow, plenty of light.
