Vermetid Snail annoying clam

ok, well i got my first clam a few days ago (sunday) and there is a Vermetid snail on his shell and it is touching his mantle so he doesnt come out all the way. can i just cover the snails hole with epoxy or is there a way i could kill it???? or remove it?? it seems really hard to remove..also would it damage the clam to take him out while killing/removing the clam??? thanks in advance

P.S. it is a 2" Maxima.. i have a thread on it here for pics

just shoot it with kalwasser just like an aptasia and it will do the trick, sometimes you can pull them right off the shell.

well problem solved.. took the clam out and got my tweezers out.. bashed the heck out of the Vermitid snail.. but i PO'd my clam.. im hoping he will be ok.. i made sure not to hit his shell... (when i said bash the heck out of it.. i was being sarcastic.. i bassicaly made sure it isnt going to grow back..)
