Vermetid Snail control?

I need to get a handle on these guys before they become a problem. Are there methods of control other than manual removal? Anything eat 'em? I've been just grabbing them with hemostats and pulling them off, trying to get as much of the base as I can. Is this ok to do or can it cause them to spread?

Just part of a tank. They keep themselves in the right population. So they will just keep coming back. I had them bad in my nano, and after a while you don't even notice them.

I have them in my 90 gallon they suck man i had decided to downgrade anyway so im either going to take some lr out and let it dry out and re-use it once i get my new redseamax and than just scrubb the dry rock down to get the snail things off...or i might just buy some new lr.

Thanks for the replies. I did read that article but it didn't delve too much into whether it's ok to just rip the little buggers out. Can anyone one else give me an idea?

I just pop them off if they are in a bad place, or just smash them. :)

I remove them if they're growing against a coral or something, otherwise it's just not worth the effort to remove them. I've got one with an opening the size of a pencil eraser embedded in one of my Montipora, the snail keeps elongating its tube and the coral just grows over it. That one I let live because it's cool :)
