Vermetid snail growing on my Maxima

I was wondering if having a vermetid snail on my Maxima's outer shell would cause a problem or not? I didn't notice it on there when I bought it and the clam is still young, so is this going to be an irritant and should I remove it? Thanks!

they wont bother the clam any, they just look ugly when they slime

Yeah I was just worried since it covers about 25% of the clam's outer shell (it is only 1.5 inches long). Oh well.

soo thats the little bugger thats sits on my clam? i figured he was harmless since the clam has been growing, but it is nasty when they slime up alot

If you are really concern, just scrape it off. It should bother anything, though. Especially the clams mantle, They seem pretty oblivious to everything.
