Vermetid Snails...

I have quite a few of these stupid snails in my tank, so much that I think it may be hindering the growth of my coral. Has anyone had any real success in getting rid of them? I have read a lot of different things, so looking local for advice. TIA.

I had a couple a while back. The thing that worked the best for me was to break off their little tubes and fill in the rest with super glue. I already had supper glue for coral attachment so this was supper easy and worked quite well.

I just plugged them with aquarium epoxy. After a week plugged they are dead.

I had good luck with a Yellow Corris Wrasse, they eat them.

I started to have an outbreak. Just reduced feeding and they died off.

I had a frogspawn colony that had quite a few on them and they would cast their nets and tick off the frogspawn. I got ticked that they were ticked so I took the colony out and broke off as many of the snails as I could. They came off with my fingernail with moderate force.

Alternatively, as others have mentioned you can fill their tube with super glue.

So I just manually removed and broke as many of the tubes as I could without destroying my tank, I'll plug em as a see the webs cast out.

The few I had when I put up my aquascape I used my forceps and popped them lol, it worked nicely but you have to be able to get to them for that to work.

I've found that urchins will eat them.

Cheapest. I think two little fishies right now. Sometimes water weld.
