Vertex Illumina Club

Ah, well if you watch the long video that was linked by Uncko I can see the reflection of the red and UV add-on led modules on the surface of the water. Did not see the green/red combo. I do hope that's coming because I know I'm definitely going to buy 3 UV's.... I'll have 2 more add-on slots open. (And I'd rather not waste in on just red only)

I think it is in the plan so we have to wait, again!

My fixture has 11 slots, so my plan was to get 8 UV and 3 Red. Now that I know Red/Green is coming, I most likely will get 6 UV and 5 Red/Green.

A friend of mine has the 24 inch one, which is unfortunetly fallen in the water. Of course it is not working anymore. I am an owner of a 12" one. We tried to save the modules and add one of his to my fixture as module "one". But we receive the error code 3 by downloading the firmware. We can reset the module by pressing the black knob and we can see te blue led blinking. Is it a good sign? Do you think we can get the modules working again?

Yes the blue blinking led is a good sign as it means it reset the module. Proline aquatics who is the vertex distributor in canada made a bunch of videos on how to reset and add modules. Check them out i think you will find what you need.

Typical reason of bootload errors is being to far from the fixture with your laptop and vlink. Try being closer than 3ft. As for the videos, ill try and find a link tonight.
cheers

Thanks, what can be the reason for bootload failure then. Where I can find the videos of proline aquatics

Hey h9151105, everyone, just to help you out with this. As long as the pads are getting cleaned with Osmosis water and are at this point not in contact with the power source it should be possible to rescue the light without the need of changing a pad. The Pads are working "only' in the light they are programmed for (installed in) and the new spare pads will program there self as soon as they are installed in the light and after that set on power. The get the needed Software from the Pads arround them what means it would be better to have just one Illumina arround which is on power. We had a customer in South Germany here which submarined his 1800-260 while he was doing the installation. He was asking me where to send the light for repair 5 minutes after it happens. The light was not on power at this time. I asked him to cleane the pads with Osmosis water and try to wait 24 h to see if all get dry. He called me a day later and said the Display is not working and we send him a new one. The light was working after that and no need to send the whole light back, the change he did himself with the upgrade kit we offer and was done in 5 minutes... If you need any Help with this light let me know.

Nicolas

Sorry when i was not clear, it is NOT possible to take a Main PAD from another lightand use this as a spare pad. If the pads are working fine check if the controller works.
If the Controller not works, try it with a V-Links Stick or Ask your retailer for a spare controller. If needed i have them on stock and can out per Fedex quick... ;)
As i undertstand so far you already checked the reset button on the pads?

Please put all the original pads back in the light and try it with this set up. In the Zip file for the Firmware upgrade on our Website you can find an Info about the emmergency Steps which can be used to test the pads.

If you need any further help let me know.

Best regards
Nicolas

p.s. Please contact your dealer where you bought the light he can contact the Distributor for your country which should be helping you asap. Otherwise you have plan B, .... me....! :)

Hi, what do you mean with the controller. The display or the pad near to the display. As I can see the pads seems to be similar or not. The display of 24" is not working. Can I not use the pad 0 and display of my 12" with a reset or something? It is only useable with 12" ?

Hi Nicolas,

By your writings I assume that you are working for Vertex. If so, can you confirm that a combination of 2 Red and 2 Green auxiallary pad is in the works? And if the release date is imminent?
