Does anyone know a comparable part number for the motor used in the Vertex Vectra skimmer neck cleaner? I'm not wanting to spend $165 to replace the entire assembly now that the motor no longer spins (due to rust from condensation somehow making its way into the "waterproof" enclosure of the motor)? It is a 24V AC synchronous motor that has a threaded drive shaft. Most of the motors I've found that look similar have a drive shaft that is smooth with one flat side for using a set-screw on. The Vectra's wiper screws directly onto the shaft of the motor.
Motors like this can be had for under $20, from what I am seeing.
