Very impressed!

I ordered 2 shipments of coral this week to fill out my collection for the time being. One was from liveaquaria.com and one from another online vendor. I have to say I am well impressed with the liveaquaria order. The shipping, packaging, and ease of the whole thing was excellent. I was also impressed at how large the bags were the coral was in as well as how much water they were packed in. Way more than the other shipment and the box was 3 times as big. I'll be ordering more in the future. Nice job and well done liveaquaria!

I did have one problem. I sent a message to customer service. I wrote that before I saw the Hawkins blue echinata but I'm not taking any of the things I said about the experience back.

Since you guys respond here I'll go ahead and put the info up I sent to customer service.

The ORA Hawkins Blue Echinata had tissue falling off. I didn't notice this until I placed it in my tank. Couldn't tell in the container I used to acclimate it as it was dark in the room. Here's a photo of it. Not great but the best my camera will do unfortunately. I'm pretty confident this was probably caused by the stress from shipping and I'm hoping it will make a recovery after a bit in my tank.

You can see the yellow areas where the tissue is gone. Does it have a chance of making it or am I going to lose it? Everything else looks great and has good polyp extension minutes after adding them to the tank.

Thank you for your reply. We apologize that the ORA Hawkins Blue Echinata arrived in this condition. The coral showing good polyp extension so soon after arriving is a good sign for the health of the coral. With proper lighting acclimation and tank conditions, this beautiful coral should make a wonderful addition to your aquarium. Please continue to keep an eye on its progress and keep us updated.

Will do. It was in a darkened room while acclimating. Before I placed it in the tank I turned off all the lights except for 2 actinics (2 X 39 watt 460 actinic). Didn't want to shock it. Unfortunately it came from the container I was acclimating it in like that. I'll keep you up to date on the progress of it however. Thanks for your reply.

Just wanted to post an update. It's lost most of it's tissue. There's a bit left on a few tips that hasn't/doesn't seem to be falling off. Also a bit of tissue around the base that's hanging in there.

Thank you for your post. You are correct the credit was issued to your customer account. Unfortunately this cannot be viewed on your online account, however when placing your next order over the phone please let the friendly customer service agent know that you have a credit on your customer account that you would like to use on this order. If you are placing the order on the internet, please enter a comment in the “Notes for This Order” box stating that you have a credit on file and you would like it applied to your order.

However, if you prefer this credit applied back to your original method of payment that was used on the order we would be more than happy to do so for you.
