very sick brain

I picked up a very sick brain at the lfs. I think it should be red, but right now has pink markings. I can see some tenticles and the only area I see skeleton is a few darker patches under thin tissue. However, the tissue looks to all be intact. What is the best way to bring this one back to health?
Thanks!

I'll move it to higher light. I put it under low light for the transfer last night. I tried over the last hour to get it to eat, but the food just sat on it. I even placed a dome over it to keep the fish away during the feeding. What are the signs that it is too late?

Okay, here is a photo.

The ridges can be seen in the center, but are covered with tissue.

Mine was almost as sick as yours when I got it. I kept it in lowish flow, in lowish light on the sandbed, and it seemed to improve a little, got color back and tissue became thicker.

Try to keep sand off it.

Mine only ever has tentacles out at night after all the lights are off. I try to feed mine around 10 p.m.

Thanks for giving me some hope. I have it on the sand bed in a 40g long under 250 watt mh near my healthy brain.

Update, It looks like there is a small tear on the side. I can see some of the inside sticking out. The mouth seemed to be sitcking out this morning, but still no tenticles. Any suggestions?

Lights are out so I covered it with a coke bottle and placed some mysis on it. The only hole in the bottle is the cap so I can't leave it on all night. How long should I give it to try to eat the shrimp? I have yet to see tenticles the past two days. Please advise, I don't want to lose it.

Good news! No tenticles out yet, but it is trying to swallow a piece of bay scallop. The piece is about 1/4- 1/8 of a scallop (the smaller variety). It has 1/2 of it down. The scallop tissue expanded after entering the water and now looks much bigger. My other brain already swallowed the rest of the scallop. How long should I give the little guy to finish it off? Also, it have very little color to it so I don't know how much energy it is getting from the lights. How often should I feed it? Not quite sure the proper type of "tender" care for a sick brain. BTW, thanks to everyone who has been helping!
