VHO Bulbs

2 questions...

1. Is there a real difference between the AquaSun and the Actinic White bulbs both made by URI?

2. Is there a store in OKC that stocks 46.5" bulbs and is not astronomically over priced?

Yes...the aquasun is considerably more pink in color. I have run both, so I can speak from personal experience. Hope that helps you out! As for your other question, I can't help you out there. Sorry!

I agree with Reefer33. The aquasun bulbs cast a very pink hue over the tank. It makes coralline look awesome but will wash out some of the colors of the corals and fish. It will fade as the bulbs get older. I would go with the Actinic white or do one of each if you are looking to "color up" your tank.

Thanks for the input. I have an actinic white and a super actinic on the tank now along with a 20K halide. I love the color of the tank now but I need new VHO bulbs so I thought I would look into the AquaSun's. I was told they made corals grow faster. I guess I will stick with what works.
