VHO T12 lighting

I am setting up a 220 and I came across some lighting for free. I can use 4x72 inch T12 VHO bulbs. This setup will cost me nothing but was wondering if this will be enough light to eventually go to mixed reef. Also if 4 is not enough I could always add 2 more for a total of 6

Once upon a time people grew sps under just VHO so yes you can do it but it is not very efficient. Those bulbs are 160 watts each but lack the punch of a good T5 or metal halide. But it is something you can do.

i also have two or three 400W MH at my disposal but i know my wife will freak when she sees the electric bill if i were to run those
