vho with a workhorse balast?

who is doing this and how is it working? I am going to upgrade my lighting and would like to use a couple of balasts i have arounnd i have a wh5 and a wh7 how many vho can i power with these. I have a 3'tank

the other question id would have, is to what level will the workhorse ballast drive VHOs.

form what ive been reading VHO burn very differently with the different ballast available.

not sure, but id think the WH would not push them very hard, maybe equal to HO or less. unfortunately I have not seen to any comparisons with VHO lamps & ballasts.

thanks for the info i know most use a icecap and are overdriving their vho. What about a wh compared to a vho spec. balast on output

Call or send an email to www.naturallighting.com. They sell both Workhorse ballasts and VHO lamps. So long as your ballasts are electronic, I believe that there is a good chance your idea will work.

i have not done any testing personaly but from one guy who did.
he said IC only overdrive NO and HO not VHO. ( this was confirmed)

he said standard vho ballast run vho lamps much brighter than IC. PAR and LUMENS

i have not seen any testing of ballast with VHOs, it is to bad
