What would you recommend for a sps tank and clams with dual 400w . 2 bulb 4 bulb

Hi Whit,

With 400watt halide, i would go 4 VHO's if you have room, all blue, assuming you are using 65K or 10K for the halide.

400watt is so intense that you won't see too much color improvement with just the 2 bulbs, but even just having 2 will greatly benefit your corals, especially SPS, the blue actinic seems to color them up more from the UV exposure. So having 4 will just increase that effect.

So 2x400 plus 4 VHO's excellent, 2x400 plus 2 VHO's really really good still!!
