OK so i think i'm going to try them out. Does anyone know of anyone that has them local. Or does anyone have any 48" used ones i can try out. And what brand, and kelvin are good? I will probably do a combination of my T-5 and VHO with my 250 watt 20K Reefoptics

Steve got VHO bulb for cheap. Get the URI they are the best. I think once you go VHO you will love the colors of your corals even just using one tube. I have been seeing some icecap ballast 660 in the FS forum for below 100 bucks shipped.

I would stagger your VHO actinics to go on first, and then your t5 blue plus and then 11k, and then Halide. I am courious to see the combination of the t5 blue+ and VHO together.

I found a scrap that had broke off the main colony and asked how much for it. It's a nickel sized peice.

I give credit where it's due. Definately not my photo. It's Atlantis' photo. You need an SLR camera to get shots like that.

mos def... glad to be back. I ended up going 2 x 160 watt VHO actinics and 1 x 80 watt T5 blue plus.

where is your placement on the t-5? I was also going to do the two VHO, but hadnt thought of the additional t-5. That Blue plus is my favorite t-5 bulb out there. Are you still running the reef optic 20k's?
