5.5 gallon tank and its on my desk. Just so you guys dont wonder where the tank is
So ive never really seen any information on this anywhere but i figured id post up and see what people have to say. My friend plays some pretty loud hip hop and his speakers are about 2 feet from my desk pointed at it in our dorm. I can feel the small vibrations on the desk similar to that you would feel from a sub in a car. Nothing crazy but yeah. I was wondering if you guys think this would effect the tank at all? i really dont but im just curious
This brings me to my second question. I know "dont tap on the glass" it stresses out the fish. But is this true? Does it also stress out corals and could it lead to the deterioration of corals and eventual death? I ask because said roomate also rides an indoboard. An indo board is a balance board. He also smokes a lot of weed and when hes high regular balance board isnt good enoguh so he gets on the speaker box between the desks and rides it back and forth. A lot of the time the board shoots off and bangs hard into my desk causing it to "shake" i guess you could say. Just take your hand and slam it on your desk right now and thats basically what it does to my desk. I have my tank on the end of the desk and i often notice one of the zoas will close up after he does it or i hit my hand on it to simulate it. Could this cause stress and death to things besides fish?
