went ahead and put the kole tang in my dt late last night. he still has a few spots of lympho but they are getting much better. he's spent the better part of today picking at the rock work and begging for food when he sees me moving around the living room. he hasn't been hiding at all, he's swimming out in the open. i think he'll be a great addition. my biggest clown took a run at him early this morning and nipped his tail but i haven't seen any more from the clown and everybody seems happy. :)

video...

thanks! i think i finally got the flow right to take care of the cyano i've been fighting. that anthelia needs to be trimmed back but i can't bring myself to mess with it! LOL

the tang has made himself right at home. :)

Im so jealous. :) It's one of my favorite fish. I just don't have the tank length to justify keeping one. One day ......

Very nice Neeners.
So flow was the problem with the algae then? What did you do? Re aim the returns, or powerheads, or both?

thanks, everybody!

all of the above. i added another power head back behind the rocks and i pointed the existing ones more toward the sand. i still have a few places where there is cyano but i didn't expect to get rid of all of it overnight. :D

Awesome Nina! He looks great and so does your tank. Congrats on getting him in there healthy and well adjusted.

it's been a long haul! got him may 9. he was in qt for weeks when i *thought* he might be showing some ich so i did tt and then he was in qt again for another 3.5 weeks. turns out it's lympho. i really wanted to get him into my dt as i know the water conditions are much more consistent and he needed more room.

i noticed he was starting to get a little ocd the last few days in qt where he would swim the exact same pattern over and over and over. i thought it would be easier to just put him in my dt rather than take him for therapy. <a href="http://s6.photobucket.com/user/Ninapearl/media/smilies/roflmao.gif.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/Ninapearl/smilies/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt=" photo roflmao.gif"/></a>
