Video of a Wavebox in a 30g tank! See the impossible become reality!

There are tons of skeptics and disbelivers but I want to show you a simple little video I just took to illustrate that a Wavebox can and will work on a tank as small as mine. This is a 30g tank! yes 30g.
The wavebox is on the right side and the video basically shows you the wave at the Left end. I used my powerhead as a refrence point so you can see the wave moving against the writing on it. The wavebox driver is at minimun setting and the pulse setting is close to maximum but can still become a bit stronger.
Please excuse the background sound, it really is not that loud but the microphone seems to be very sensitive or whatever.
Anyway here is the video.

That makes me real nervous ;)

Lol but why?
By the way its been there for a little over 3months now.

Nope no DIY, its the stock wavebox by Tunze. sSmply mounted on the right side of the tank. The units are usually for large tanks that are 6ft plus in length but I opted to use it in this 30g. Just had to make sure the aquascape was strong and won't topple over. Or that no corals were not in the direct path of the output current.

Thanks everyone.
I think that you should not fear experimenting and pushing your NANO to the limit as long as you take the needed precations. I think this device has helped me in a major way as it has allowed me to keep corals that would have been very hard to keep without it. I have both an Elegance and Goni. in my 30g and both are both hard to keep LPS and I owe the success I have had thus far to using this unit. it gives them the random movement they need to thrive without bashing them with flow.
PPl have always feared using this unit on small tanks but the video says it all. It works and it does a damn good job.

Do you think it is causing the corals to sway too much? I mean they seem to go back and forth pretty fast. Doesn't seem natural. I have noticed in the larger tanks that the sway is much slower.

Thanks.

Good question..

I had it on a bit of a higher setting them normal. I generally run it a bit slower as you pointed out. I only run it a bit faster when I want to stir up the detrius so it gets skimmed out. I put the setting a little higher so you could see the sway a bit more easily as the video quality is poor ... but with the pulse setting you can make it slower than that, which is what i do. I just want to show you some pics of the same Elegance coral so you can see it is healthy.

Yeah it looks healthy now but how long has the wavebox been in there with the corals? Im not trying to rain on your parade, just curious for my own purposes. Because I would love one of these!

No offense taken. Glad to answer questions.
Always been in there since I set the tank up 3 months ago. I originally bought it for my 150, but am using that as a FOWLR so I thought I would try it out on a 30g. ITs always been a part of my reef and I have no plans of it ever not being in there. Every coral i own has been exposed to the wavebox.

Here is one more video. This is with a Pearl bubble coral. It is as far from the wavebox as possible. Opp side of the tank.

I hope the speed of the sway is more calm as you have mentioned, in these videos. I unfortunately don't have much to go on when placing this unit in my tank as nobody is using them in tank this size. I pretty much had to think it up and go with it and keep testing it out. I am happy with how its set now and feel pretty comfortable in handling the controls and such. This unit is a real pioneering invention for reefers. The only downside is the price and space the unit occupies. But its basically blends in nicely like a overflow box.
