LOVE the 5D3!! previously had the 7D, 50D, and this is BY FAR the best camera i've ever used! shot these at iso 3200-4000 and very little noise.

Wow, that is saying something... I shoot with the 7D and quite like it, but sounds like the 5DIII is even better. One thing I've heard about the 5DIII is that its new focusing system is pretty spot on... how does it focus in comparison to the 7D? Any noticeable improvements? Those are great shots at that ISO, I cringe any time I take my 7D over 800.

Yeah on my 7D I felt I was pushing the limit at 1600iso. With 5D3, I don't even sweat 3200. I've even shot at 6000iso inside pirates ride at Disneyland at 1.2 shutter 100 and got great results. Focusing is WAY better. Tracks very good and had tons of points to set it on. You won't be disappointed. I honestly don't think I would capture these images as nice without this camera. It would be a good test.

It or a used 5DII is on my wish list. Also the 7DII comes out in about a year. I like the 7D for shooting birds and wildlife and the crop sensor gives a bit more reach in that regard. However, can't argue with the image quality of the 5D and the full frame sensor. I'm not in the market for a new body at the moment , so just a bit of a pipe dream!

Yes I do miss the reach with 7D/70-200 combo. It was great for dodger games and birds but I do more weddings and portraits and just worked out better for me. Keep on dreaming and you'll get there! I did.
