Vinegar bath?

Just like the title says... How do I go about doing this?

I have rubbermaid tubs and equipment to clean...

Now what?

I mix about 60% vinegar and 40% water and let the stuff soak. After soaking for a while scrub with a toothbrush. The stuff usually comes clean rather quickly this way. HTH

Thanks

will anything bad happen if I let it soak for a long period of time... I'm thinking I'm gonna go get the vinegar now and let everything soak overnight

umm, what i do is soak the eqipment in 50/50 water vinegar overnight. and then rinse it all off real well. if they are pumps i usually run them over night.

I have never let mine soak for more than a couple of hours. Not because of anything bad happening, I just wanted to get it done and over with. I would not think that anything bad would happen if left overnight.

I,ve soaked mine overnight without problems. However, I have heard accounts of seals swelling.

I have soaked things in vinegar overnight without problems. I go with a 50/50 mix. When cleaning a pump, I let it run overnight in the vinegar solution.

I use a 50/50 mix in a covered container with the pump running overnight, and scrub off the loose stuff with an old toothbrush the next day.

Ditto on the full strength white vinegar. Its a safe mild acid and does not need any diluting, it makes it take longer and does not work as well if you do cut it.

I like full strength vinegar myself but its a little more costly that way.
