vinegar dosing

Alright, so I was happy and now I'm starting to worry. Started dosing vinegar a week ago today and everything was looking great and even darking up. Now I see bleach spots on my green birdnest and on my orange/green birdnest. The other corals are starting to lighten up too. I have 90 gallon sps only with 3 fish, two green chromis and one disjardini tang so I'm light on the bioload.

But I believe I have both since I have a little HA

I agree that you may have gone too far and that backing off the dose or adding a nutrient source like the AAs or both is a fine plan.

It is, but exporting the whole bacteria takes those nutrients permanently out of the system, while leaving it in doesn't necessarily do so.

Well back to the sock change outs. My sump is in my basement, and I have a laundry tub right next to it, so remove, rinse out, water splash, ect. really is no big deal to me.

If you are willing to do that, I think it best. I wouldn't be that diligent.

No big deal to me, worst part is the cold water, the sock is rinsed and back in place before the water get warm to the LT.

He slacked off my dosing, took in some rock and got what I think is dinos , started dosing vinegar again and it looks to be helping out!
