Vinegar in Kalk, who's doing it?

I started gradually decreasing my dosage when some of my corals lightened up. Now the cyano is reappearing on the sand bed.

Interesting guys,
From what I gathered vinegar is utilized as a carbon and fuel source. In theory as bacterial populations grow and vinegar is halted the source of NO3 and Po4 are utilized whitch compete out algae.
Could be a longer timeline is needed,If you look at how long a new tank setup takes to establish a stable population of bacteria. Its only been about 6 days with my additions so Iam still on the fence with this one.

Any updates guys ?

I have seriously debated on what to do with my ongoing algae crisis. After reasessing the situation I took drastic measures and removed the top half of my sand bed and mixed in about a 20 lb bag of fresh.Removed live rock and gave it a vinegar bath for 2 days. I really didn't want to do that but it was getting pretty bad. I experienced no losses to date but wasn't gonna wait for it either.(other than 1 goby in bizar event and I dont want to talk about it :)
Other than 1 sting in my middle finger from a hammer coral, countless bites from one very "bipolar" clownfish ,gone absolutely postal on me.And,well, according to my wife a sunburn on 1 arm from putting my arm in the tank so much.I think its just dry skin but whatever.

Ok, lastly, resumming vinegar for this morning.

carbon dosing works slowly. I started with .5 ml vodka a day and upped it .5 ml every week until I reached 2 ml/day. I think you are expecting results too quickly, and I've read its not good to ramp up/down too quickly. You should try to be consistent and patient.

Yeah, all kidding aside,I know where your coming from and agree whole heartedly but my tank was seriously bordering erotrophication.
thanks for the heads up though.I'LL try to get a pic to show how bad things were getting.:)
