Visio vs Leemar tank!

Haven't had a visio, but have had a Lee Mar for the past 8+ years, and have ordered another larger LeeMar recently. It seems that LeeMars are considered the gold standard here in SoCal. Visio's may be fantatic tanks, it's just that when people discuss the best custom glass reef tanks, everyone always mentions LeeMar and it seems like Visio is rarely mentioned. There are even people who post WTB threads for LeeMar tanks.

I would not recommend a Visio tank. I know someone who got one and the bottom cracked 2 months after it was set up. Was done by a professional service with custom made equipment by an aquarium company.
I think that might just be an isolated incident. I've had my 150 Visio up for 6 years without a problem. Even after a couple small tremors and a tank move this tank has been rock solid. I also have a 40 gallon Visio that I had setup before my current prop tank and it is built just as good. I would not hesitate to buy another Visio tank and have heard just as many stories of LeeMar tanks failing. If a tank manufacturer had a constant track record of leaks or seam failures I doubt they would stay in business very long.

In my book both companies are very good, so it depends what options and price you are looking for.

Unfortunately, it wasn't an isolated incident. The store I frequent said they had multiple complaints from customers. I'm sure Visio has many quality tanks out there, and apparently you have a couple of them. Possibly they've had a bad run of production, a lazy worker, who knows?

But, I have seen a Lee Mar and Visio side by side, and the Lee Mar was simply beefier....looked more solid. Just my opinion.

I do agree here that the Leemar looks much more better, of course the price is.... more too. Heck, I bite the bullet and go with Leemar. I have heard some complains about Visio. Kenfuzed, you might have had some lucks with Visio. Thanks for all opinion
