Most of you have heard that our good friends, Velko and Theresa Kostanjsek, the proprietors of Aquatic Treasures in Fairview Heights, lost their son on Sunday after being in a coma from a car accident about 12 days prior.

Sorry, but I've lost track of their son's name and can't lay my hands on an obituary.

He was 25 and an Iraq campaign veteran as part of the National Guard. A lot of his NG buddies apparently visited over the past dozen days. Velko says it will be a military funeral.

I talked with Velko around lunch time on Tuesday. He very much appreciates all the calls, prayers, and support from all of us. Velko said there was little hope of recovery because of the severity of the injuries.

According to Velko, visitation is Wednesday from 4-8 PM and again on Thursday from 9-10 AM. The funeral will follow Thurday's visitation and lunch will then be provided.

That's all I know at the moment.

With our Frag Swap on Saturday, I recommend a card and gathering signatures from those who know Velko and Theresa. I'll be in Ohio this weekend and will likely miss the Frag Swap.

Please keep those prayers going.

Del,

I really like your idea of a card that we can all sign.

For newer people, Velko and Theresa own Aquatic Treasures. They are just absolutely wonderful people and they've been good to many of us in St. Louis.

Please pray for them during this stressful time in their life.

I can't even imagine what they're going through. No parent should have to bury their child. It's just horrible.
