Ok all joking aside if you really don't have the money there are numerous skimmers out there that will work well till you have the money down the road. The Typhoon from Trigger systems is great for 67 bucks but you need an outside collector of some sort. If you can though spend a 100 bucks and get a Pacific coast/Octopus Any of these will be good

I was just curious if it was a total piece or not because I wanted to use it on a small prop tank

If that's the case go for it. Some work fine while others need constant adjustments. Some on here have complained about it overflowing but who knows. Give it a shot man. $25 bucks is not much so no big loss if it doesn't work. Plus it's always good to have spare everything!
