Visiting Chicago

Hey all,

I'm going to be visiting chicago (chicagoland means chicago, right?) this weekend for the NARBC in Tinley Park.

Right now I'm planning on visiting the Shedd Aquarium, but I was wondering if you have any suggestions of things to do? Any advice for things to do/see/eat/go (or not do), while in chicago? any good nighttime activities since the reptile show only goes until around 5?

Thanks :-)

I LOVE a little resturant in Dearborn Station off Printers Row called Bar Louie. Great food and atmosphere and killer martini's.

Gino's East is the best pizza,

bar louie is a chain bar, you can do much better. Try the hopleaf.

How can you make fun of one place for being a chain and then list a place that is a chain too?
Bar Louie has great music and food IMO.

While the above may be true it's not unique to Chicago.(Can't say I've never been):D

Bar Louie is a national chain with locations in Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Missouri and Wisconsin.

Although Gino's and Lou Malnati's may be corporations and have multiple restaurants they are true Chicago icons.

We all have a right to our own opinion.

Truthfully I never knew Bar Louie was a regional chain. I like the Deaborn Station one becasue of the location. Printers row is cool as hell.
I will say that Harry Caray's has great food too.

If you are downtown you could always do the Rush & division club-hopping thing......or take a short cab ride up to the Lincoln Park area.

Hang around RUSH STREET at NIGHT, bars , restaurant side by side, GOOD TIMES!! PARTY TILL U DROP.:D
