Has anyone tried the vitamin C dosing for the zoos who has an sps dominant tank? If so how did the sps react if at all? I want to try this dosing but I want to know the effects on the SPS first.
I am starting a all zoa and acan biocube. no skimmer just cheato, chemi-pure, and purgen. would it be good to dose vit c in this situation? or is it like vodka and need a good skimmer?
I have an sps dominated tank with some zoos. Will the Vit C help my sps, will it have negative effects or will it do anything to the sps? I know it helps with zoo's I have seen it in a friends tank, dying zoos turning around and looking full and growing like crazy. I ordered the Vit. C you reccomended from the iherb store and plan on dosing. Just wondering what it may or may not due to the sps in my tank.
Deftones are awesome, and been using Vit C in my mixed reef for about 3 weeks now. Everything seems to be doing fine, palys really happy, lps doing good, and SPS haven't missed a beat.
I have a Montipora dominated tank, but I've recently started collecting zoanthids and plan to start dosing C as soon as my buffered stuff arrives from CA. The mere fact that pufferpunk's red turf algae died off is one of my top reasons for trying it...can't find anything that eats that horrible sh_t.
Believe me, VC had absolutely nothing to do with my getting rid of that horrible stuff! The only reason the red curse choking out my entire tank is gone now are--Mexican Turbos.
Here are some of the latest responses on the VC thread in the Zoa forum:
"im dosing 1/2 tsp in morning and 1/2 tsp at night and have saw my zoas complety recover from browning out and not opening. I have a 125 gal with a 30 gal sump. Everything is looking brighter and fuller than ever. Ive been dosing for about 2 months now"
"My polyps are starting to open up again and skimmer is going crazy"
That's just from today... Hundreds of more results like that in that thread.
