I wan't to try vodka dosing to lower PO4 and NO3. Has anyone tried it? If so, what were your results (good and bad)?

only use good vodkas (i.e. chopin, belvidere). also, don't use any flavored vodkas with the exception of lemon or orange flavored. lemon or orange flavored vodkas may give the added bonus of vitamin C. there are no double blind studies on this yet.

You don't realy think you'll get any serious responses here, do you? I do dose VC in 2 tanks, only to keep the trates down at 0. One of mine was always >100 before dosing regurlarly.

Its like vitamin C, but from what I understand, is a more pure carbon source.

I'm starting it. Messed up the first week, just was not on top of it but started again and am doing what is needed. I do have excessive hight PO4 and NO3 and need to get them down. I'm using a left over SKY vodka I have laying around. Just have a party and tell peeps to bring booze then you'll have some.
