Volunteers Needed!

Folks,

It is now the time that you have either been waiting for or dreading .... Volunteer Time!!!

We are looking for members who want to help with the SLASH Sentinel and the slashclub.org website.

I would also like to announce ( for those of you who must have been out of the country a couple of weeks ago ) that Chelsey, a.k.a. "Steve's Squeeze", has graciously accepted the position of Editor of the SLASH Sentinel. Chelsey is VERY competent but don't think for a second that she won't need help.

We plan on the Sentinel being a very major part of the club and need more than a single mind to make that happen. We are looking for those of you who have the desire and imagination to make the Sentinel informative, entertaining and successful.

Now, on to the website .....

Dennis has done one heck of a job with the site so far but we've been running the poor guy ragged with requests to implement various items that we want included on the site. He has spent a TON of time getting us to where we are today and we still have a ways to go!

With that in mind, we have come to the decision that Dennis deserves to have a life and that his marriage could survive if we just free him up a bit to spend some time with his family. Heck, I could swear that I've noticed some grey hairs showing on the guys head since we started this thing!

We would like to get him some help ( web AND mental :D at this point ) so if you are a website wiz kid, we need you!

If you're interested in helping, please send an email to slashclub@yahoo.com and state your preference as to which comittee you would like to be a member.

This is your chance to be an even bigger part of SLASH! Don't let it pass you by.

Thanks,

Greg

Well, I know basic HTML now. I haven't designed webpages for about 4 or 5 years now. I don't know what language the SLASH page is in, but I have a pretty general idea. If you let me know what needs to be done or what I'm in charge of I could probably keep up with it.

I also believe that I have adequate english skills. If another editor is needed I can do that. I hate writing though, so I will not be creating any articles for the Sentinel.

I would've been all over an editor role, but I've just accepted a long-term freelance copyediting job that's gonna take a healthy chunk of my free time. The material won't be half as interesting, but at least it pays better than the Sentinel. ;)

The pay may be better but would you have such an illustrious and crazy bunch to work with?

wow we didn't even talk about pay scales yet. Oh well. corals is a coral, fish is a fish, dollar is a dollar. Back to work!
