Vortech MP10s and MP20s?

Any of you guys have both of these? I have a MP10 and a MP20 in my 29g tank and I swear the MP10 blows waaaay harder than the MP20. I have them both set on Reef Crest. I have the 20 set on max speed and the 10 is on 80%. Does the 10 just push harder cause it is concentrated (like a nozzle on a water hose?
 
I have 40's and a 10..20 and 40 are similar and it sounds like your 20 is having an issue. Might be time to service the wetside and check the dry side. Is there any rattling or heavy vibration on your 20?
 
Determine what it's coming from..the dry side (motor) or the wet side. If it's the wetside, give Ecotech a call and send it for service. If you ran it out of alignment for awhike it can wear the wetside bearing and cause the prop to bind.

Cool, That's great but will have to wait as I started the Bathroom remodel for my wife. The larger shower with built In bench and handrails and low threshold for easy entry with 48" frameless Door and a few other goodies I have In mind.
On another note did you get my mail I sent? Should have been there yesterday I thought.

Brandon, what are the dimensions on your 30G? If it's a long tank, you might look into the 20 instead of the 10. I've read that the 10 isn't effective on tanks over about 25" long. I'm planning on putting a 20 on my 40-breeder, some day. I have a 40 on my 90, and it is AWESOME. I was thinking I would have to go with 2 40s, and I still might one day just for more randomness, but I can't even crank the 40 all the way up without totally ticking off a bunch of my corals.
 
I ran my MP10 for kicks on my 125 before I broke it down and switch to the Solana. I'd say 36" is the max length I'd run the MP10 on. Up to that, flow should still be great. MP10s rock!
 
I think the cube I'm getting is only 18", so it should be great! :) Not to mention that new driver... I'm excited about the wireless. :)

Wireless is only useful if you are going to have more than 1 of them Brandon..otherwise don;t spend the extra money for wireless.
 
Oh, ok... good to know, Andy.

In that case, maybe I can pickup an older model used for cheaper now. :)

I think I'd still like to get a new one for the warranty, though...
