Vortech MP20 F/S, F/T

I'm thinking of trying something different for the circulation in the new 30g I just set up, so I thought I'd offer my Vortech MP20 to any Club Members who might be interested.
I've had it since Feb. of this year, works fine, no problems whatsoever.
Still have original box, instructions, warranty card.
Thinking of asking $230 or possibly doing a partial trade for cool equipment like Reef Controllers, stuff like that.

What gives? We can't offer non-reef-related merchandise in exchange for posted reef-related merchandise? I don't understand (especially for a post that looks like a joke)...

God made Craigslist for a reason folks.

But Seth getting hit with the banstick for something relatively trivial like this is another reason in favor of ETRC getting its own forum or moving somewhere else...

I tried to get our forum going and people didn't frequent it. Dunno if moving elsewhere would work, either.

And where do the rules state that you need to buy an item with only cash? As long as the posted item for sale is reef-related, what is the problem? That a trade offer was publically posted? Very tenuous reason to ban. It may work out well for RC, but it is very detrimental for the local club.

First he offered for sale or trade the computer in a separate thread. His thread was closed and he was reminded of the rules. Then, he responded in this thread that he'd like to trade the computer for the vortech. It sounds like it is a straightforward short term ban for failing to yield to the obvious.

While it is entertaining to see people hawk their random wares to feed a reef addiction, I'd rather not see people selling or trading anything nonreef related here either. It's a slippery slope to trading chalice frags for "escort services."

Thanks for your input, it will be taken into consideration.
The purpose of this thread however, was for Weetabix to sell her Vortech MP20, not to debate RC policy, which is not up for debate, anyway.
