Vortech MP40 questions

Picked up a complete tank setup that came with two mp40's. I don't know anything about them, just getting back into hobby. Here is my issues:

1) this unit, soon as you plug it up it flashes red/green. I've read that the wet side might be seized but it's not I can turn with my finger.


2) the other unit will work in any mode for about 30 seconds and then goes back to green, lowest setting.

Any pointers?

Finally got EcoSmart live registered but it will not find my mp40w. How do I get it to connect?

you need to update it first, then it will find it and load it

Did you go to the ETM website to get the full manual. Probably a memory clear will fix the second pump. Red/green flashing means wetside problem. So if your wetside is good, may need to call ETM.

EcoSmart Live will allow you to set the pump program but reeflink is required to communicate with the pumps (assuming they are wireless).

You need it for Ecosmart Live but it isn't clear why that is being recommended. The pumps are fully controllable via the buttons on the driver. Go download the manual.

It sounds like you need to reset the drivers to clear any previous settings. If that doesn't work, give Ecotech a call.

Ok I got one of them fixed, the one that was going back to the lowest setting I just done a memory clear and it works fine now
